Recent trends, not only waveriding but in all forms of self expression, have tended towards looking backwards in order to move forwards and our sport/lifestyle is no different. This is evidenced by the increasing popularity of SUP's, fish's, retro boards and various fin derivatives such as quads.
Recent global surfing publications have showcased an exciting new form of wave riding in the form of finless, thin wooden surfboards developed by Australian based American ex-pat, Tom Wegener. Tom has combined modern shaping technologies/ideologies with traditional raw materials and has resulted in the re-birth of the Alaia as a wave riding tool.

I am extremely pleased to have set up a bulk importing deal with Tom, in order to be the first person to bring these amazing boards to South Africa. Please contact me via the links on this site to be among the first South Africans to experience the thrill of riding a paper thin, finless wooden board as close to the breaking part of the wave as possible!
